The program was conducted over an eight-week period with ten participants.  The author's position is that self-esteem, values, and behavior exist in an interactional relationship and that behavior which is consistent with positive values will produce healthy self-esteem. Research was conducted using a questionnaire for two groups of juveniles: one having absent fathers and the other living with fathers.  Pastors were interviewed whose churches have youths with absent fathers. The program's premise is that antisocial behavior correlates with inappropriate or lack of appropriate socialization, ie, poor sense of self, irresponsibility, and insensitivity toward others.  The project designs programs to develop socialization skills and accountability.  A fourfold greater recidivism is noted in the control group which is comprised of those who are dropped for nonparticipation than in the treated group which consists of those who graduate.  The project presents six representative case studies.
