The author researched the management structures of the Martin Luther King Jr Center's comprehensive social service delivery system in Dallas. The use of the participant-observer research method revealed that administration by objectives should be the basic orientation of organizational management, particularly that of the parish. The project was designed as a qualitative study.  The methodology was that of the participant-observer.  Through the use of disciplined attention to and comparison of settings, persons, actions, events, words and interview material four factors were found to give work satisfaction: dominion, sharing, freedom and vision.
