Using quasi-experimental design, 42 high school aged participants formed control and treatment groups. The treatment group participated in a six-week education study on the Bible's teaching on sexuality. Peer leaders were included. Biblical knowledge and sexually permissive attitudes were measured before and after the treatment. Quantitative analysis revealed significant increase in biblical knowledge yet no significant decrease in sexually permissive attitudes. The retreat would teach the mission team members about Waterbury and orient them for the upcoming week of day camp.  As a result of the project the Waterbury Baptist Ministries church members' self esteem increased and their level of hopelessness decreased, thus finding their place of service in the church. The facilitator led four parent support groups to reinforce learned skills. The writer provided a thorough bibliography and extensive appendices. The project will make use of James Fowler's Stage Theory of Faith Development to provide a structure for the concept of growing faith. The project will then introduce the use of classic spiritual disciplines to a group of church members through the use of material by Richard Foster in The Celebration of Discipline.  The author will propose that the practice of these disciplines will positively influence faith development.  The project will also investigate ways that the disciplines have influenced various Christian traditions as examples of the growth produced by the disciplines.  The author will also preach a sermon series intended to introduce the disciplines to the rest of the congregation. Finally, the project focuses upon vocation as the partnership of believers with God. The hypothesis was that CPE would be able to provide an adequate method of pastoral training and theological reflection for urban ministry. An urban CPE program was developed at the Oklahoma Baptist School of Religion in North Tulsa in order to train and certify ministers as chaplains in various community-based organizations. The students reported developing essential knowledge and skills necessary for effective urban ministry. The model utilized a sermon series and small group Bible study to increase the congregation's ability to perform long-term visioning. Consequences of the qualitative analysis indicated the intervention resulted in increased awareness of vision, related to spiritual calling in the lives of the small group and the congregation.
