They have been tamed in the patriarchal social system for so many years that they now support this value system and reject women's independence, self-identities, and public leadership.  The author set up a Bible study program to meet the special goal of helping the women of the Christ Central United Methodist Church to understand their own lives and situations. This Bible study program is designed to be an extension and a continuation of the monthly gathering of the Women's Mission Group (YeoSunkoWhoe: United Methodist Women).  five sessions will be carried out over the period of five months. Each session comprises a Bible study, discussion, report, and dinner. The Bible study is focused on the lives of the five women in the Bible. The participants will have opportunities to observe the lives of these women in the Bible and reflect their stories on the participant's own lives. The author takes an historical-critical approach, and his research indicates that where Black Wesleyans have taken preaching seriously, embraced vibrant worship styles as a medium to tell their story, fostered lay education and involvement, and maintained a Christ-centered preferential option for the poor, the church continues to thrive from one generation to the next. Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning both center and circle.  The purpose of this dissertation was to arrive at a description and understanding of the experience of drawing the mandala and its meaning in the author's life and ministry from a theological, spiritual and psychological perspective.  Two co-researchers were chosen for this study. The author used image dialogues with her mandalas, while open-ended interviews were conducted with the co-researchers to gather the themes for this research. Major themes of self-integration and expanded awareness led to greater confidence in the experience of drawing the mandala to express the individual's spiritual and psychological journey of transformation. Twelve individuals participated in a ten-week seminar while nine individuals in a control group who did not participate in the seminar were administered the Spiritual Assessment Inventory by Hall and Edwards as a pre-test and post-test. The results indicated that the treatment group grew in their awareness of God in their lives. Furthermore, the number of descendants of early Chinese immigrants has markedly increased. This paper summarizes the history of these Chinese people and their struggles as immigrants because of differences in background and culture.  It also examines the history of the Chinese Christian Churches in the United States, the challenges that they faced, the lessons to be learned from these challenges. Dialogue based on social justice and peace is the key to integral human development in Africa. A specially created questionnaire was administered to all students, teachers, and parents of four selected classes before and after a teacher's training and testing period. The training sessions cited the ultimate example of Jesus' relationship building, reinforced by literature reviews and examples of contemporary teachers. Parents and students confirmed a more positive attitude because of a new effort by the teachers. Patients were administered the Berg Computerized Spiritual Assessment (BCSA) and the Addiction Severity Index (ASI). The data were analyzed with hierarchical multiple regression analysis using Spiritual Injury scores to predict addiction severity ratings. Results show associations between spiritual injuries and severity of alcohol ratings were strongest for psychological ratings. Injuries most strongly related to psychological ratings were 'life has no meaning' and 'worry about death.' This study developed a practical pastoral theological framework in which clinical pastoral caregivers can articulate a scope of practice and identity.
