Throughout the work, the project director enlisted experts to evaluate the process and the finished strategy."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5e492469-490e-44a3-90c1-17560a603bc2"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1799715013156405248,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:39:44.897Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2024-01-30T16:57:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:32:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"29641aac-38da-4833-ba87-0bb30f819ab1","accessControl_ssim":["1145d5f4-5853-44d0-b6b0-83a980d75418"],"depositor_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"title_tesim":["Developing a Strategy Planning Model for Rural Associations in the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2024-01-30T16:57:52Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:20:29Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c16ccb0d-77c3-40c4-9d25-386c6ac28155"],"hasLease_ssim":["590c5f9e-0e01-4543-95c8-373c333d6ffb"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["2023"],"location_tesim":["Alabama"],"resource_type_tesim":["Abstract"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Barnhart, Rick O."],"subject_tesim":["Baptist Church","Rural Churches","Baptist Associations","Strategic Planning"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to develop tools that assist in evaluating processes used by Southern Baptist associations for developing and implementing strategies toward success. The project director defines success for the associational missionary by assisting churches in the association with accomplishing the kingdom challenges they understand to have been commanded through Scripture. A result of this project director's work is the creation of a simple, short-term clarifying process for strategy development, specifically for rural associations. The project director explored demographics and the biblical, doctrinal foundations for strategic planning in phase one. Phase two contained the research and evaluation of existing alternative programs and best practices for strategic planning. Phase three included the evaluation and writing of the strategic planning process, and phase four included the presentation of the newly designed approach to a team of qualified evaluators and practitioners."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5e492469-490e-44a3-90c1-17560a603bc2"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1799718360236163072,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:32:56.921Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2024-01-23T17:20:41Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:30:11Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d5218668-a334-423e-a72f-db47d5d15bbf","accessControl_ssim":["37c269c7-a2e6-4ab8-a14b-904eecd40876"],"hasRelatedMediaFragment_ssim":["562f25f6-eb30-451b-9ebf-5aa2922e6b1b"],"hasRelatedImage_ssim":["562f25f6-eb30-451b-9ebf-5aa2922e6b1b"],"depositor_ssim":["father.mowry@gmail.com"],"depositor_tesim":["father.mowry@gmail.com"],"title_tesim":["Parishioner Feedback on Seminarian Preaching"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2024-01-23T17:20:40Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:13:26Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["1df373d3-36e1-41c4-920d-07fb70deeee4"],"hasLease_ssim":["2b9b48cc-e2fc-4a3f-8d5c-42f74c25701e"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"format_tesim":["PDF"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry in Preaching"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Aquinas Institute of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Deborah L. The chapter presents the context of the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary as uniquely suited to the aims of the thesis project: developing the Affective Feedback model which relies upon the spiritual experience of the parishioner-listener as the source of feedback to the seminarian-preacher.\r\n\r\nChapter Two presents the central metaphor of a bridge to explain the theoretical frameworks of the Affective Feedback model. The chapter establishes three theological pillars for this bridge: the pneumatology of the Gift of God, the sensus fidei, and Ignatian affective discernment.\r\n\r\nChapter Three explains how listener-oriented preaching serves as the homiletic suspension cables of the Affective Feedback bridge. The practical ecclesiology of Pope Francis, the inductive preaching homiletic of Fred Craddock, and insights into listener relevance from Karla Bellinger manifest the tensile strength that feedback requires.\r\n\r\nChapter Four introduces interdisciplinary wisdom from communication studies in the business world to establish the deck of the Affective Feedback bridge. In conversation with Douglas Stone, Sheila Heen, and Therese Huston, the chapter lays out the practical theology of effective feedback conversations.\r\n\r\nChapter Five details the Affective Feedback model, this thesis project’s ministerial intervention. The chapter gives thick descriptions of the institutional context, participants, structure, and evaluation of the ministerial intervention.\r\n\r\nChapter Six analyzes the limitations and data of the intervention. The analysis examines seminarian interviews and parishioner questionnaires to demonstrate how parishioners moved toward basing their feedback on affective impact and how seminarians grew in appreciation for parishioner’s praise. The chapter concludes by suggesting the next steps for Affective Feedback’s improvement and application."],"license_tesim":["https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/562f25f6-eb30-451b-9ebf-5aa2922e6b1b?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["562f25f6-eb30-451b-9ebf-5aa2922e6b1b"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Aquinas Institute of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["416f1c5f-a1c7-4596-b214-83b6abadee9c"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["562f25f6-eb30-451b-9ebf-5aa2922e6b1b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["father.mowry@gmail.com"],"_version_":1791130355248398336,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:30:17.135Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13089,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
