The project has five chapters: 1) The need for AIDS education at colleges and universities; 2) The Purdue University model; 3) Theological reflections; 4) Ethical reflections; and 5) Evaluation and recommendations for the future.  Research is based on the responses of 250 students to the model. It proposes that the experience is linked to an anomic crisis in the US social construction of reality.  It contends that the ecclesial region is called to transfer allegiance from central power structures to forces struggling to construct a just, participatory and sustainable society.
