The Project Director developed a series of presentations as part of a forty-hour Community Service Chaplain training course to equip volunteer chaplains for ministry.  Chaplains minister to the first responders and support their work as an expression of commitment to and worship of God. Eight congregation members were enlisted to participate in the Community Cultivation training. The project included four weeks of discipleship and training related to biblical principles on prayer, servanthood, and evangelism.  This training period was followed by six weeks of Community Cultivation activity in the neighborhood. There were two broad objectives that the project worked to attain. The first was that the church members would work to better understand and minister to the needs of its community. The second was to involve the community in helping to share the Gospel. Both goals were accomplished through the planning and implementation of a camp meeting.
