The first phase of implementation for this project was to research the fields of missional worship and postmodern culture for the purpose of developing annotated bibliographies in those fields to be used as research standards. The second phase of the project was to develop a workshop curriculum for the equipping of a worship design team to address cultural and missional issues related to worship. In the third phase the project director taught the curriculum in a weekend workshop to a multigenerational group of participants in the worship ministry, including members of the worship band, praise teams, choir, and audio-visual team. His question was 'What kind of worship services can we create to bring together the younger and older generations at Wondang church?'  He used four steps to bring a united worship in Wondang church: Praise and Worship; Traditional; Blended; and Multisensory and Experiential.  The results were not great because there were some limitations of the existing church.  However he was hopeful for the Korean churches based on his findings. This project focuses on one particular United Methodist congregation and explores the capacity of silence to be spiritually transformative. The congregation was invited to participate in various modes of spiritual silence, including worship silence and centering prayer. The response of the congregation was assessed using focus groups. Hip hop is more than rap songs and music.  It is a culture all its own.  The author's thesis addresses preaching as a tool to invite a small congregation east of Atlanta to accept and welcome the hip hop culture into the church.  The author's thesis is that when a congregation becomes knowledgeable about hip hop, it is more accepting and more open to welcoming young people that embrace hip hop.  The author's method was to introduce hip hop to the congregation by hosting a hip hop concert.  The author also asked the congregation to complete a questionnaire about their views on hip hop culture.  The author educated the congregation by preaching a series of sermons about hip hop and its history.  At the worship services during the sermons, recording artists sang hip hop songs, hip hop prayers were offered, and youth were actively involved in the worship services. The author discovered at the conclusion of her research that because the congregation was educated about hip hop culture, the members were willing to accept hip hop into Livingston Chapel CME Church. Architectural, historical and theological sources from the Reformed tradition inform the study. The sample population consisted of twenty churches of different denominations that consistently reach non-Christians through their worship services.  A researcher-designed questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used as instruments.
