It emphasizes socio-cultural effects of no-fault divorces, family law, and judicial processes on families in Boston and proposes the implementation of family-structured church system and ministry as necessary to counter culture. The overall framework of this thesis reposes on Eldin Villafañe's 'hermeneutical circle of Chrisitan ethics.' Drawing on the insights of family systems theory, particularly the concept of self-differentiation, the project focuses on the experiences of North American Mennonites, who in many ways have integrated into the surrounding culture but are still strongly influenced by the theology and practices of their tradition.
