The goals of this project were assessed by using a five-point agreement scale and three qualitative questions. The findings of the data revealed that the participants gained an ability to identify their core longing wounds and an understanding of how their wounds inhibit their ability to experience God's love. Specific spiritual disciplines were practiced in the group. The results of the study show the participants experienced God through them."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Ashland Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["beb93775-0b27-4cc6-9fb0-f2ad62e68517"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131419889631232,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:47:12.457Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:39:31Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:28:15Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fe40945f-5c04-44dc-870b-62f4cc6d4592","accessControl_ssim":["c3deaebc-32ca-4913-9a6e-7a273279ce7b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Reclaiming the funeral: using ritual to help the community cope with grief and loss"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:39:30Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:24:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c0fd189d-a8e0-40bd-b1ca-5f3799923dd8"],"hasLease_ssim":["e821d4aa-a27f-41b3-a069-395a9591a075"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Angela D Washington"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Matthew B Zuehlke"],"keyword_tesim":["Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Death--Religious aspects--Christianity","Communities--Religious aspects--Christianity","Funeral rites and ceremonies","Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project focuses on the need for the congregation to participate in the rituals of death in the life of the church. Through the course of the project the hypothesis was supported that while initially congregation members might have a distaste for the subject, once exposed to the benefits of communal practice, a majority were willing to participate in future funerary rituals."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130234521649152,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:28:22.002Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:32:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"337dd7d1-1d38-45b0-bad3-8ad55ffe57e0","accessControl_ssim":["944527a4-47ee-4b57-a566-9d5165504742"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Dialogue as a means of reconciliation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:37:40Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7751ea83-cae8-4ff5-b3da-31b7a515f5e3"],"hasLease_ssim":["99389157-860e-43e2-be16-ae8eddcd9b7d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Susanne Johnson"],"year_tesim":["1987"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Glenn A Noblin"],"keyword_tesim":["Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Dialogue","Judaism","Fowler, James W","Groome, Thomas H","Christianity","Theology","United Methodist Church","Interfaith relations"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project demonstrates that interreligious dialogue is an appropriate and viable ministry of the local church.  Dialogue is appropriate because the basic theme of the Bible is God's passion for reconciliation and dialogue is a means of reconciliation.  Dialogue is viable because, in terms of James Fowler's stages of faith, even people who have not developed beyond the second stage are capable of responding to dialogue in a limited way.  A report on a dialogue between members of a Uniited Methodist church and a Jewish congregation shows that an adaptation of Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach to religious education is effective for people in various stages of faith who are in a dialogue situation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126736980672512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:32:46.487Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Glenn A Noblin","hits":1,"label":"Glenn A Noblin"},{"value":"Matthew B Zuehlke","hits":1,"label":"Matthew B Zuehlke"},{"value":"Sheri Lynn McCallister","hits":1,"label":"Sheri Lynn McCallister"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Practice (Theology)","hits":3,"label":"Practice (Theology)"},{"value":"God and human beings","hits":1,"label":"God and human beings"},{"value":"Relation (Theology)","hits":1,"label":"Relation (Theology)"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Christianity","hits":3,"label":"Christianity"},{"value":"Attachment behavior","hits":1,"label":"Attachment behavior"},{"value":"Communities--Religious aspects--Christianity","hits":1,"label":"Communities--Religious aspects--Christianity"},{"value":"Death--Religious aspects--Christianity","hits":1,"label":"Death--Religious aspects--Christianity"},{"value":"Dialogue","hits":1,"label":"Dialogue"},{"value":"Experience (Religion)","hits":1,"label":"Experience (Religion)"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Ashland Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Ashland Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University","hits":1,"label":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1987","hits":1,"label":"1987"},{"value":"2009","hits":1,"label":"2009"},{"value":"2014","hits":1,"label":"2014"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Ashland Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Ashland Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":1,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Ashland Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Ashland Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":1,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"},{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
