The project director utilized an equipping model in order to accomplish the goals for this project. The first phase of implementation for this project was to research the fields of missional worship and postmodern culture for the purpose of developing annotated bibliographies in those fields to be used as research standards. The second phase of the project was to develop a workshop curriculum for the equipping of a worship design team to address cultural and missional issues related to worship. In the third phase the project director taught the curriculum in a weekend workshop to a multigenerational group of participants in the worship ministry, including members of the worship band, praise teams, choir, and audio-visual team. Members of these churches exhibit diverse musical preferences and appear to welcome diversity. They find hymn singing essential to worship.
