A survey instrument was created using The Baptist Faith and Message and a panel of experts who possessed a broad range of educational and practical experience. The survey consisted of eighty-eight statements to which participants indicated their agreement or disagreement. The results raised concern regarding the doctrinal knowledge of Baptists. Questionnaires were sent to over two hundred interested persons.  Study groups took the information and concluded that the greatest needs of the directors of associational missions and their wives relate to isolation.  Support groups were enlisted in four associations.  The design of the support meeting included planned activities to break down barriers, share and prayer time and informal conversation and games. A psychometric tool, the 'Anger Self Report', was adminstered to a population of Texas Panhandle Southern Baptist clergy.  Areas explored included awareness of anger, general expresison of anger, physical expression of anger, verbalization of guilt and anger, condemnation of anger, and mistrust.
