A seminar was facilitated to develop each participant's cognitive, affective, and behavioral readiness for ministry.  The goals of this project were to research resources relatd to preparing for God's call, to develop teaching materials to assist students in developing a vision to carry out God's call, and to equip students to carry out their call to Christian ministry.  A paired-sample T-Test was calculated to compare the mean pretest score to the mean post-test score. It proposes to find out what is the influence of postmodern thought on the respondents of the questionnaire and what are the implications for pastoral ministry.   The research discloses the influence of postmodern thought upon the 109 participants of the survey project. The first chapter is about some current problems in ministry. The second chapter discusses four basic theological principles relevant to the investigation. The third chapter reviews available literature pertinent to the research. This thesis will propose a method that uses the U.S. Congregational Life Survey and a leader's guide (Connecting: a leader's guide) for interpreting and discussing the results of the survey.
