Following his research the author analyzes similar components in the new church development he serves.  With the aid of A church planning questionnaire by Grayson L Tucker Jr, and added questions developed from the research, the writer measures his church against that of the rapidly growing new churches of the first three centuries.  Areas of similarity and weakness were identified. Such prayer, defined as 'meditative prayer', places an emphasis on waiting for God.  Meditative prayer underlines the need for quiet preparation as part of praying.  A six-week Lenten series of sermons, workshops and model meditative prayers provide a broad approach to an entire congregation.  The project report contains scriptural and theological support. A study experience is conducted in two churches served by the author.  The study included both an introduction to feminist theology and ministry as well as an evaluation of the author's ministry in relation to these perspectives.  Also, thirty churches were surveyed, fifteen served by clergywomen, fifteen served by clergymen. An attempt is made to determine whether lay people's perception of ministry changes after experiencing a woman as pastor. The writer also developed a workbook-journal, 'A Consumer's Guide to Personal Religious Beliefs,' for use by the unchurched and evaluation by the writer.  Research revealed a high level of religious thought among unchurched participants.  Content was almost equally representative of Eastern and Western religious systems.  Participants were primarily interested in religious ideas that answered questions about how God operates in relationship with the world and life after death. The author includes a study of attitudes toward persons with disabilities, and two questionnaires.  Some pastoral care theories and practices are reviewed.  Conclusions are affirmative of contributions made by pastors with disabilities.  Those who have 'been there' do create a better sense of rapport with clients or parishioners going through painful life experiences. Therefore, the project sought listener response to deductive and inductive preaching in the Pioneer Memorial Church in order to ascertain listener preference for one or the other of these two sermonic methods.  Eight sermons were preached that intentionally alternated between the deductive and inductive methods.  A group of randomly selected listeners reacted to each sermon through a standard evaluative questionnaire.  Based upon their responses, listener preference for deductive and inductive preaching was ascertained.  It was discovered that in numerous instances the listeners demonstrated a wide range of responses and preferences that prevents any categorical advocacy of one method over the other. Library research on the Filipinos in Hawaii, exegetical works on selected biblical passages, and community and pastors' surveys were done.  The evaluation of the survey of Kalihi Baptist Church indicated that the English-speaking members preferred an integrated Filipino congregation.  The non-English speaking Filipinos preferred to have their own services. Pastors and staff of the Hawaii Baptist Convention want to see homogenous Filipino congregations. The study was limited to those who had spent a minimum of five years in the parish after becoming ordained.  An attempt was made to look at roles, family dynamics, and relationships with the system of the denomination.  All subjects were mailed questionnaires, and a portion of the subjects were interviewed.
