This study looks at Lakeview in terms of its doctrinal identity and missional culture and offers an explanation of the relationship between the two. The project is a qualitative case study that makes use of observations, document analysis, and individual and group interviews to gather data that provides a rich description of doctrinal and missional commitments at Lakeview. The project director researched biblical teachings, theological foundations, and related literature on the topic of salvation. The project director also developed a training model to equip a new member assimilation team with the skills to interview new and prospective members about salvation. Finally, the project director utilized the training model to equip the new member assimilation team with a more efficient way for Grace Baptist Church to receive new and prospective members. The writer believed that if properly informed the group would arrive at a consensus of purpose and ministry which would reconcile diversity of theology into that of purpose.  Four seminar sessions were presented to better establish theology as a foundation for building a new church.
