More recently church planting education has become available to the missionary-pastors. This product demonstrated that by understanding the effect of church planting education on the church planting movement, and by applying social determinations, approriate principles for more effective missionary-pastors can be comprehended. Generation to Generation by Edwin Friedman is an important family systems resource for the study.  Instruments produced by XICOM facilitated leadership assessment.  On their genograms the participants indicated family themes, emotions, traumas, triangles, and leadership characteristics over three generations.  The four instruments aided the participants to identify leadership resources in their genograms and family systems.
