In this variant of the project, the increase was markedly less (8%) and was not statistically significant (p = .28)."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799721631971540992,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:24:57.092Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:27:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:49:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"251b6606-11ac-4c90-a57c-459ada57614c","accessControl_ssim":["20b97945-6fd8-4799-a947-6b0e19ea8a5c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Tolerance and lordship: faith experienced in a pluralistic community"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:27:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:13:25Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5557619e-740e-4726-8502-99c152bdac96"],"hasLease_ssim":["b45275aa-2bca-418d-91fc-d5f7e3696c1d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Luther Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Alan G Padgett"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Paul H Moessner"],"keyword_tesim":["Jesus Christ--Person and offices"],"publisher_tesim":["Luther Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Faith development","Grace (Theology)","Faith","Jesus Christ","Toleration--Religious aspects","Religious pluralism","Christianity and other religions"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christian theology tries to balance two biblical claims: God's will to save all; salvation only through Jesus Christ. The theological basis for preaching and communication within the congregation are defined. All good communication requires feedback. Three models of congregational feedback and critique were created: listening group, Sunday worshippers and adult education classes. A model for feedback from peers is also explored. The most important elements of preaching are defined by each group and contrasted with Baylor University's definition of effective preaching. It is revealed how much more concrete and practical congregations define preaching than does Baylor. The reluctance to receive feedback and obstacles to enhancing Lutheran preaching are explored. The author drafted this policy on the basis of research in the theology of Sabbath rest, clergy burnout, adult learning styles, and missional ecclesiology. The author hypothesized that clergy and lay leaders in congregations can embrace ways of thinking about ministerial sabbaticals that are theologically grounded, missionally driven and sensitive to the context for ministry. The author tested and sustained this hypothesis by conducting interviews with twenty clergy and twenty lay leaders, all of whom had already reviewed a first draft of the sabbatical policy. Following the interviews the writer revised the sabbatical policy, incorporating critical insights from the interviewees."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130323118981120,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:29:46.495Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":89,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Brian D Mundt","hits":2,"label":"Brian D Mundt"},{"value":"Alan A Hendrickson","hits":1,"label":"Alan A Hendrickson"},{"value":"Amos L Gimbi","hits":1,"label":"Amos L Gimbi"},{"value":"Andre B Heuer","hits":1,"label":"Andre B Heuer"},{"value":"Archibald James Pell","hits":1,"label":"Archibald James Pell"},{"value":"Armin R Heidmann","hits":1,"label":"Armin R Heidmann"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Religious surveys","hits":6,"label":"Religious surveys"},{"value":"Relation (Theology)","hits":2,"label":"Relation (Theology)"},{"value":"Theology, Lutheran","hits":2,"label":"Theology, Lutheran"},{"value":"Accreditation (Churches)","hits":1,"label":"Accreditation (Churches)"},{"value":"Catholic Church--Doctrine","hits":1,"label":"Catholic Church--Doctrine"},{"value":"Congregations--Internal conflict","hits":1,"label":"Congregations--Internal conflict"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Lutheran Church","hits":10,"label":"Lutheran Church"},{"value":"Church work","hits":7,"label":"Church work"},{"value":"Pastoral counseling","hits":7,"label":"Pastoral counseling"},{"value":"Pastoral theology","hits":7,"label":"Pastoral theology"},{"value":"Church work with older people","hits":5,"label":"Church work with older people"},{"value":"Clergy","hits":5,"label":"Clergy"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[{"value":"Africa","hits":1,"label":"Africa"},{"value":"Argentina","hits":1,"label":"Argentina"},{"value":"Brazil","hits":1,"label":"Brazil"},{"value":"Iowa","hits":1,"label":"Iowa"},{"value":"Latin America","hits":1,"label":"Latin America"},{"value":"New Mexico","hits":1,"label":"New Mexico"}],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":89,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Luther Seminary","hits":89,"label":"Luther Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":89,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1981","hits":7,"label":"1981"},{"value":"1983","hits":7,"label":"1983"},{"value":"1984","hits":6,"label":"1984"},{"value":"1982","hits":5,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1986","hits":5,"label":"1986"},{"value":"1987","hits":5,"label":"1987"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Miscellaneous","hits":89,"label":"Miscellaneous"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":89,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Luther Seminary","hits":89,"label":"Luther Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":89,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":2,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":9,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":89,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":false}}}
