A qualitative design with semi-structured interviews of seven ministry leaders was utilized. The research focused on the four spheres of the social domain: relationship with God, self, others and the physical world. The doctrine of adoption was found to have such profound implications on the social domain that it is necessary that ministry leaders develop this doctrine in their discipleship plan. Step two deals with specific problems indigenous to modern American Christianity.
