The three models are: science vs religion; science as religion; and religion or theology as science.  There is, then, a discussion of the dialogue past, present, and a suggested future of the dialogue.  The heart of the project is the theological integration of the concepts and ideas that come from the literature together with reflection upon these by the author.  The most important thread for future reflection is the concept of dialogue within the postmodern setting.  It is in the postmodern world that security and truth can be part of religion as well as science.  With the realization that even science is a set of relative truths, humankind can be free of the need for certainty as such. This freedom can lead us to even greater horizons of security within the truth of the faith.
