The strategy team is developing a plan to help blended families to connect with the church and to find solutions to their complex problems.  Eastside Baptist Church is a place where blended families can find help with their relationship with Christ.  The strategy is a plan to help families of divorce and remarriage to integrate into Eastside and to help them grow in their walk with Christ.  Although some people may be saved, the project is not primarily about evangelism.  The strategy is a plan for discipling of blended families through Eastside Baptist Church of Orlando.  The project examined Eastside Baptist Church of Orlando and the ability of the church to expand ministry to integrate blended families. PTM is a multiracial, nondenominational men's ministry.  Fifteen Patus participated in the project (three groups of five) and two retreats in Portland, Oregon which were held three weeks apart. Instruments used were pre/post identity, relationship and satisfactions surveys. Cecile Currier in her book Learning to Step Together (1982) reports that there are 1300 new stepfamilies forming every day in America.  The question is, What is the church doing to help stepfamilies? Stepfamily adults gathered to form a support group dealing with loyalty conflicts, ex-spousal issues, discipline, strengthening the marriage relationship and others. Important to the course is the Bible study material relating to the subject matter being discussed. This paper helps fill this gap with a six week structured workshop for remarried couples with blended families. These 'remarried' families were found to have many of the same needs as first, or in tact families, but also had unique needs growing out of the circumstances of either death or divorce, and subsequent remarriage. The data was gathered in a parish setting with several remarried families participating in structured interviews. These same families also became a study group using the curriculum that was eventually developed. The research and project demonstrated that remarried families can benefit from marriage and family enrichment
