It was hypothesized that this would increase their experience of and expression of gratitude. The program highlighted the benefits of gratitude and practices that would increase gratitude with the group for twelve weeks. The participants filled out a pre and posttest and answered eight qualitative questions. The assessment data indicated that the study group did increase their overall level of gratitude and significantly increased their gratitude practice."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Denver Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7af129f-938f-4821-9463-dc6ded35d563"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133548897370112,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:21:02.837Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:53:57Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:27:02Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"aaf817f9-ca31-4665-b905-c96813a48866","accessControl_ssim":["15b2bdf2-7c40-4a8c-9f43-c2104ebf2883"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Grateful remembrance of God's goodness amidst the stress of parenting young children"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:53:56Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:04:10Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["65a26f2e-c529-4b59-9d38-9c6634bf0905"],"hasLease_ssim":["5a5790ad-39e7-4709-a345-b2af21be6ba5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Denver Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Gerald L Sittser","Keith Meyer"],"year_tesim":["2015"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Mark A Looyenga"],"publisher_tesim":["Denver Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with families","Parent and child","Spiritual life--Christianity","Gratitude","Stress management","Child rearing","God--Goodness"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Among Christian parents with young children, staying attuned to God's goodness in daily life can be especially difficult. God's goodness can become blurred and muted by parenting difficulties and limitations. The problem studied was the effect a four-month group intervention with parents, focused upon the Triune God's goodness and gratitude rhythms, had on reducing parenting stress. Quantitative results of the four month group intervention were statistically significant and supported by the qualitative results. Those who practiced the gratitude rhythms expressed reduced parenting stress (12.6%) and pulse pressure (9.8%). They also showed growing awareness of God's goodness (11.7%) and gratitude (10.9%)."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Denver Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7af129f-938f-4821-9463-dc6ded35d563"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133929612247040,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:27:05.914Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:44:40Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:50:38Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ce758488-990f-4f84-84db-45b139792c09","accessControl_ssim":["6399a2b8-78f7-4de4-a3a3-fc41a1270c47"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Facets of grace: towards a fuller understanding of the Lord's Supper"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:44:40Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:03:01Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9aa532d2-d88f-42d4-878c-045e382a0d5f"],"hasLease_ssim":["35f878a3-277c-4da6-ae82-2cfc58b0ddca"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["John E Alsup","Laura B Lewis"],"year_tesim":["1993"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["James B Gooch"],"publisher_tesim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Grace (Theology)","Gratitude","Lord's Supper","Eschatology","Consecration","Fellowship--Religious aspects--Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project examines the way grace is displayed to the people of God at the Lord's table.  Designed to introduce adult study groups and individuals to a deeper experience of the sacrament, the project focuses on five 'facets of grace': koinonia, anamnesis, eucharistia, thusia and eschaton.  Koinonia is God's grace in our connectedness to God and to one another at the table. Anamnesis is God's grace in our remembrance.  In recognizing Christ at the table we are enabled to remember our own identity as children as God. Eucharistia is God's grace in our thanksgiving that we are claimed and named by God, and are moved to respond in joyful thanksgiving for the grace we have received.  Thusia is God's grace in our sacrifice of ourselves as we offer ourselves in loving service to the world.  Eschaton is God's grace in our future, that the connectedness we receive at the table is our hope as God points to the final realization of God's intent for his people."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["0f245891-e4c1-47d9-842b-9aefbafae138"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135413694365696,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:50:41.246Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"James B Gooch","hits":1,"label":"James B Gooch"},{"value":"Mark A Looyenga","hits":1,"label":"Mark A Looyenga"},{"value":"Will Johns","hits":1,"label":"Will Johns"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Gratitude","hits":3,"label":"Gratitude"},{"value":"Attitude (Psychology)","hits":1,"label":"Attitude (Psychology)"},{"value":"Child rearing","hits":1,"label":"Child rearing"},{"value":"Church work with families","hits":1,"label":"Church work with families"},{"value":"Consecration","hits":1,"label":"Consecration"},{"value":"Eschatology","hits":1,"label":"Eschatology"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Denver Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Denver Seminary"},{"value":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"2015","hits":2,"label":"2015"},{"value":"1993","hits":1,"label":"1993"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Denver Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Denver Seminary"},{"value":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Denver Seminary","hits":2,"label":"Denver Seminary"},{"value":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
