The goal was to reach into homes previously unreached by the church. Research was conducted through a pretest mail survey and a posttest phone survey.  The survey instruments sought to discover awareness of ACTS and audience interest in possible television programs. The project sought through television to focus on needs expressed by the audience, allowing the audience to make a direct response to the counselors on the program.  The report outlines a theological basis for the concept of using television as a means of ministry to people in need.  Methodology included a critique of television and the church's response, which included examples of programming. What was borne out by previous research held true for this project: a television ministry doesn't increase church membership.  However, our research has demonstrated that people do watch religious programming, and with those who have participated in this ministry, we have forged informal links of church.  They have given witness that God is revealed to them through their lived-out
