This will be done through an eight session, sixteen hour seminar. It will describe healthy anger and guilt, inform the class what unhealthy anger and guilt look like, then discuss the symptoms and consequences of living with unresolved anger and guilt. Interventions and Bible studies will be presented as ways to resolve these issues. A one year follow up was done with the seminar participants. Preaching is an ethical issue.  How the pastor prepares, delivers, and conducts himself in preaching is vital to effective witness.  A survey of evangelical preaching discloses some troubling trends.  Propaganda, power, manipulation, and distortion devices are documented.  No doubt some of these are intentional, but some may be unintentional, yet nevertheless unethical.  A biblical model of persuasion is presented as an ethical code for the pulpit.  Emphasis lies upon examples found in NT preaching. To accomplish that goal, the context was carefully studied, sources on cultural diversity were assembled for theological reflection, a methodology for a ministry project was devised, and a ministry project was undertaken, which was followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the ministry project. Included are stories of formerly declining mid-sized congregations that have increased in worship attendance in the 1990's, and in which a contributing factor is the adoption of cultural inclusivity. Case studies were formulated from on-site interviews and demographic data in order to identify similar tactics used in the revitalization processes. This generation, known as Generation X, is vastly different from its predecessors and presents a great challenge to the church which is just now beginning to embrace the differences presented by the Baby Boomer generation.  Generation Xers challenge the church to show the validity of Christianity in this world.  They reject traditional institutions and beliefs while they become more and more skeptical of all truth claims.  This project will seek to train a group of Christians, members of Spring Creek Baptist Church, to share the gospel effectively in personal witnessing encounters with members of Generation X. This goal will be accomplished by teaching sessions which focus on the dynamics of Generation X combined with practical, on-the-job, witnessing experiences.  These Christians will be challenged to reach individuals who fall into this age group and cultural worldview. A sample 120 members of Murray Hill participated in a host of prayer initiatives to deepen the life of prayer within the ongoing life of the church.  Metanoia then examined fifteen heart attitudes that grow out of the life of prayer as related to church health.
