Chapter 1 introduces the history and ministry context of the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina and the goals of this project. Chapter 2 presents the exegesis of three passages of Scripture (Luke 9:57-62; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Tim 4:1-5) to biblically show the underlying requirements established by God for the preacher of the Gospel. Chapter 3 presents the practical approach to the resources God has provided each minister to enable him to fulfill the preaching task. Chapter 4 describes the project itself, recounting the content and teaching methodology of the specific course curriculum. The author distributed a questionnaire among the youth of the city to determine their needs.  The author tested and trained a group of eleven sports instructors from the First Baptist Church to implement the project.  The posttest indicated an increase in the instructors' commitment to personal evangelism, flexibility in ministry and the use of sports as a viable tool in ministry.  The author and instructors designed and produced materials to be used in the sports clinics. Mission work began in 1897, but after 90 years the Argentina Alliance consisted of only about 4,000 believers.  The project attempts to provide a comprehensive history of which will give the members of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Argentina a sense of their identity.  The project also examined and critiqued those factors which affected church growth positively and negatively. Research included examination of all pertinent books, articles, correspondence, and reports.  In addition, interviews of many church leaders and questionnaires sent to dozens of Alliance leaders past and present, were utilized. The author began with a biblical apologetic for numerical growth. Then he analyzed five theological-spiritual and ten sociological factors that could enhance growth.  The author investigated four urban, neighborhood churches in accordance with the above factors, through questionnaires, statistical and historical records, and personal observation.
