The project director researched the biblical teachings, doctrinal foundations, and related literature on evangelism, assimilation, and team building. He Developed and utilized a workshop for the project implementation at the church. Twelve lay leaders attended the six-session workshop. In compliance with that commission, passion and action are the two sides of the coin for Christians. Passion is the heat for evangelism, while action is the light for evangelism. However, though Christians in Hong Kong have passion for evangelism, the church has no significant growth. A 65-question research tool was sent to 100 pastors and church leaders in churches of different sizes and ages. Are these new believers moved by the Holy Spirit or other spirits?  A massive spiritual awakening is presently underway in China.  This thesis explores its development and maintains that it is genuinely of the Holy Spirit using criteria from Jonathan Edwards' treatises, Distinguishing marks and Religious affections. However, very few church workers have opportunity to receive formal teaching about the truth of the gospel. As a result, the foundation of the faith of the believers becomes terribly weak and unstable. The goal of this project is to teach church workers in China the basic truth of the gospel in a Chinese context for personal evangelism. It will seek to contextualize the truth of the gospel with the unique characteristics of ancient Chinese written characters, which amazingly contain the stories of the gospel. Church workers will learn the knowledge and skills of utilizing a figurative and factual way to share the gospel with Chinese-contextualized messages.
