To develop this seminar the project director had to research denominational entities, partnering churches and church plants to determine what has been successful in establishing churches. A train-the-trainer workshop empowered trainers to train leaders and lay people in the development of programs within Black churches in the Atlanta, Georgia area in order to prevent the abandoment of infants and children. Chapter 1 introduces the project. Chapter 2 is the biblical, theological and historical bases for why church planting is important. The chapter also presents the need for indigenous church starting. Chapter 3 presents particular instruments that are used to discover the persons and the areas that would be the most useful in planting a church. Chapter 4 provides the process that is to be used.
