Subjects were exposed to five different expository sermons in the two sermon forms and their responses to a questionnaire were collected the next day (N-1,000).  There was no significant difference between the sermon forms and the subjects ability to recall the big idea.  Narrative sermons are as equally effective as propositional sermons in recall.
