Because the church has multiple campuses in different areas of New Orleans, the demographic breakdown for each campus varies from that of the other campuses. The churchwide and campus specific pastors, worship leaders, and staff desire to meet the needs of the ethnicities represented in the congregations of each campus and would therefore welcome any guidance for planning multiethnic worship services.\r\n\r\nUtilizing the ministry research model outlined in the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Project in Ministry Handbook, I researched the worship service planning practices of 101 multiethnic churches across North America. In order to discover similar best practices that may be applicable at Celebration Church. I utilized the equipping model for the project. The project began by researching existing methods and models of pastoral leadership development to ascertain the essential elements of pastoral leadership development. Having determined the essential elements, I created a curriculum to instruct the eight essential elements discovered through the research phase. I, the project director, selected a Generation Z youth ministry disciple-making team of six members. Next, I researched Generation Z’s religious views, social practices, and mental health. Then I researched disciple-making strategies, methods, and practices and evaluated which were best to make Generation Z youth disciples. I then presented the research findings to the youth ministry disciple-making team. Next, the youth ministry disciple-making team and I developed and conducted assessments of the NZBC youth ministry. Then I complied the findings to develop a Generation Z youth disciple-making \r\nstrategy for NZBC youth ministry. The selected members who participated in the training were given the first opportunity over other associational church members. Preparations were made to solicit volunteers from the North Central Baptist Association (NCBA) if I could not reach Springhill’s membership recruiting goal. This preparation was unnecessary as Springhill took an active interest in the project.\r\n\r\nI researched children’s death-related data from local and international agencies that supported this project. The statistical data supported grief training at the layperson level. I studied both biblical and non-biblical death philosophies to gauge what people believed concerning the topic. Based on my research and learning, I wrote a grief recovery care curriculum that encompassed sermons, teaching lessons, and other pedagogical tools to equip selected members in grief recovery care. The project director led selected staff members, laymen, and laywomen of Airline Baptist Church to develop an evangelism strategy to utilize in the sports ministry. The strategy planning team met for five sessions to develop \r\na sports evangelism strategy that took into account best practices from other sports ministries and guidance from experts in the field of sports evangelism. The project director informed the team of data from a five-mile demographics survey, sports evangelism literature, and alternative sports ministries. In addition, the strategy team met \r\nwith two experts in sports evangelism via Zoom meetings. The project director led the team to develop a four-part strategy for using sports for intentional evangelism. To accomplish this task, I researched the field of adult\r\ndisciple-making using the John T. Christian Library, my own library, seminar lecture notes, and notes taken at the 2022 Discipleship.org conference held in Nashville, Tennessee. In consultation with experts in the field of discipleship, I created an annotated bibliography of the most relevant resources germane to the project. From this research, I\r\ndesigned a leadership training course to equip Ascension campus church leaders in the best practices for disciple-making in small, closed, gender-based discipleship groups. To ensure the quality of the project, experts evaluated each goal product. The project began with faith formation research to discover faith transmission skills. The research included books, other ministries, and students and young adults in the ministry setting who continue to be active in their faith.\r\n\r\nThe next step was developing a curriculum to equip selected parents of Judson Baptist Church, Walker, Louisiana, in faith transmission skills. The curriculum came from the research conducted in the previous step. To help me gain skills in curriculum writing, I completed the book Design for Teaching and Training by LeRoy Ford. The new skills, combined with the knowledge gained from the research, resulted in a curriculum.\r\n\r\nThe last step was equipping selected parents of Judson Baptist Church, Walker, Louisiana, in faith transmission skills. The parents were taught using cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning. I will research various fields of discipleship to determine the most effective methods and incorporate them into a plan for parents to use with technology. Then, I will create a workshop curriculum to equip a selected group of parents with technology-based discipleship skills. Each session of the workshop will address a different step of the plan and provide informative data along with practical application steps. The first step included conducting an internal audit of the adult Sunday school classes. This research included McClendon Baptist Church’s last ten Annual Church Profile reports. Next, the project director explored existing strategy models of adult Sunday school revitalization to determine best practices. After selecting and training a strategy planning team and utilizing the best practices for adult Sunday school classes, the project director developed a revitalization strategy for the adult Sunday school ministry. The project director collected data and developed adult lifestyle profiles for the church and its ministry area. The project director used the profiles to lead the disciple-making strategy team to assess the effectiveness of the church’s current disciple-making strategy. The project researched adult disciplemaking and adult disciple-making strategies, examined existing models of adult disciplemaking, and surveyed leaders from a select group of churches to develop a list of best practices for Calvary. The project director then formed a disciple-making strategy team by selecting and training thirteen members from the church. The project director led the team through six training sessions to develop an adult disciple-making strategy for Calvary. The project director and the team presented the strategy to the church elders for approval. The elders approved the strategy and recommended it to the church for adoption.
