The project  was completed by meeting three project goals. The first goal was completed by researching the field of mentoring and identifying essential skills for mentor training. The second goal was accomplished by developing a curriculum designed to equip leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in mentoring skills. The third goal was accomplished by equipping selected leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in essential mentoring skills. Leaders were equipped through five sessions over a single-day workshop. Several evaluation metrics were utilized to ensure the project goals were met. Evaluation metrics, including expert evaluators, rubrics, pretests and posttests, and surveys, were used in the project. Two professional goals were also established. Church leadership raises concerns about inviting individuals recently released from prison or jail due to the challenges they face in re-entering society. Church leaders report facing limitations in their resources to address these challenges. With the proper support and resources, the formerly incarcerated can make meaningful contributions to their communities and experience significant benefits from religious institutions. The research supported these findings, demonstrating the need for educational materials for church leaders.\r\n\r\n\"From the Cell House to the Church House: Comprehensive Prison Release\r\nHandbook” provided church leaders a tool to understand the risks and advantages of having justice-involved individuals and their families in the church. The handbook contains information on prison release, church assimilation, and risk management. He also looked at the discipleship demographics of First Baptist Church of Warrensburg. The project director looked at disciple-making resources to determine best practices that would inform this project. The second phase of this project was the strategic planning stage. During this stage, the project director assembled, equipped, and led a team to determine the best strategy to equip transient families in military contexts for First Baptist Church of Warrensburg. The final state was the presentation phase. The study reveals congregational leaders experienced emancipatory feelings of hope and spiritual agency when utilizing the innovation tool of a business Miniplan. Liberating congregations from the oppression of financial scarcity freed church leaders to consider new ways to address increasing costs, particularly deferred maintenance of aging buildings. This project used Participating Action Research as its research orientation, since it is ideal for business and church research. A five point Likert scale questionnaire with fifteen questions was distributed to twenty two participants.
