The author examines the biblical foundation according to Matthew 29:19-20, and connects it with the Sermon on the Mount to find the way of shepherding them to become true disciples after their baptism. Based on the Sermon on the Mount, the author sets a strategy and writes a curriculum to teach new immigrants to observe the Lord's commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission. This material should meet the need of and help the growth of their Christian faith, become a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and be the salt and the light of the world. The final goal is to establish them as a true disciple to participate in the ministry of the Great Commission."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["54e7729a-4915-469f-8fd5-c7bb7ccd6c20"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134645965815808,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:38:29.083Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:08:58Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:15:16Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"51a496bc-f160-4e2b-af4f-50c653a8819f","accessControl_ssim":["ec18ac28-49f1-45b0-9985-3a13ee2db9a0"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Developing a ministry at Jerusalem United Holy Church for children of incarcerated parents"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:08:57Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:31:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["58f76f92-469e-447c-bcdf-94207076332e"],"hasLease_ssim":["d8778bd6-2b66-432b-a193-91c23a9584d2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Hood Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Samuel Dansokha"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Monalisa Covington"],"publisher_tesim":["Hood Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with children of prisoners","Jerusalem United Holy Church (Reidsville, NC)","Prisons","Prisoners","Mentoring in church work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project for children of incarcerated parents in Rockingham County and community was designed to address the problem that a disproportionate number of African-American children have at least one parent incarcerated and the church has a divine mandate to respond to their basic needs. Some collaboration between the Jerusalem United Holy Church and other agencies was part of the project, especially in identifying the children and exposing them to positive experiences. He taught classes on the three aspects of tawheed, conducted Socratic seminars and had students perform skits, as well as role pay."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Hartford Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8e52e4c8-38b6-4846-872d-a744b4f5725d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799721865015459840,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:28:39.340Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:53:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:21:30Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ccfb700f-070f-471c-922d-c0881d60679d","accessControl_ssim":["7630341e-d65d-450d-b489-3ddb3de8fbf8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Sunday in the park: living missionally in a marginal setting"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:53:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:01:12Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["be1dad02-0432-4a9a-9f2d-4befc3301a37"],"hasLease_ssim":["0355192a-5ed0-412a-b0e0-bb74a84a8b20"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Campbell University Divinity School"],"advisor_tesim":["Barry Jones"],"year_tesim":["2010"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John S Pond"],"publisher_tesim":["Campbell University Divinity School"],"subject_tesim":["Religion","Christianity and culture","Home missions","Pluralism, Religious"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The cultural context of today's American religious community is one of rapid and diverse change. The local congregation, which once enjoyed a position of social, moral and ethical influence upon quotidian societal decision-making, has become a marginal (peripheral) and often an ignored participant. It was anticipated that the selected churches would have: a professionally trained appointed leader and trained laypersons; a safe environment for hope and healing; a clear pathway for people to find help; and the churches would use both prepackaged and their own written programs/materials. The research method and design was a case study of these three churches using interviews, direct observations and documentation such as websites and print materials. The goal was to gather the best practices from these church ministries and prayerfully seek to directly apply various organizational and functional traits to Wildwood Community Church in Norman and in the surrounding areas. This research sought to discover how the selected churches structure and execute their care and counseling ministries. In addition, this research endeavored to learn new ways of incorporating staff and laypeople as leaders and workers in Wildwood's Care and Counseling Ministry. Moreover, analysis was made to assess and determine the most valuable programs to implement for Wildwood's ministry of care and pastoral counseling."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8322f611-a593-413a-8bcd-0011fba52dc7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129931924635648,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:23:33.423Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":334,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
