This project focuses on the creation of an oasis for busy lives by reclaiming the garden's sacred place in church design as quiet center for nurture and renewal.  In this paper sacred place and the impact of a central oasis garden on the life of a particular congregation are explored.  Written reflection and interviews with six people provided data gathering. The orders are provided in the Holy Scriptures, and every local congregation needs to know from God's Word why they exist and what they are attempting to accomplish.  With the goal of developing a ministry plan for Fellowship Church of Carol Stream, Illinois, a dozen nearby churches were examined for ministry effectiveness utilizing the collecting and analysis of anonymous congregational surveys. It explores the HIV/AIDS-related teaching and ministry of the guru H. H. Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati and her human care service organization the River Fund, both at Kashi Ashram in Sebastian, FL. After providing her developmental biography, it summarizes her verbal, artistic, and kinesthetic forms of teaching. She responds to HIV/AIDS with the Hindu concept of seva (service) that follows the Hindu religious path of Karma Yoga (action). The project then examines the history and work of the River Fund, paying a particular focus to its de facto AIDS hospice, the River House. The organization is unique in both the Hindu and American religious contexts. They began looking for people outside the church to whom they could minister, and with whom they could share the message of the Gospel of Christ.  Lay leaders began to teach and empower others to reach out. The purpose of this project is to explore the core needs of 'Generation X' and practical ways the Christian Church might address those needs. The research on this project is conducted through interviews with 'Generation X' members of Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN, and 'Gen X' individuals who are not members of any particular church. Pastors of churches that are prospering in ministry to 'Generation X' were also interviewed. The complex system of Cambridge Community Fellowship Church served as the case study for this project.  The framework for this study is provided by Eldin Villafañe's hermeneutical circle, which progresses as clarification (clarify the issue and the challenges at hand), conceptualization (applicable theological and sociological analysis), and confrontation (principles or next steps of addressing the issue).  Clarification involves examining two of the central elements of CCFC, its postmodern ethos and its emergence from the immigrant experience.  To that end, postmodern culture was studied from various angles.  Additionally, the development of second generation ethnic American identity was also studied. Conceptualization involved the movement towards developing a relevant postmodern theology applicable in the urban context. Conceptualization also involved the application of systems thinking to unpack the system of CCFC in order to address specific issues at CCFC.  Confrontation calls for the development of strategies and principles to address the various issues. This will be done by developing and initiating a ministry plan for equipping members of First Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Arkansas. This local church will serve as the platform for this ministry plan. The ministry plan includes preaching messages on evangelism and the importance of discipleship. It involves teaching a seven week class to equip volunteers to evangelize Chinese students, including lessons on the biblical foundation for the need of salvation, the cultural and social needs of Chinese students, effective models for ministry, relationship building, the importance of witnessing, the introduction of tracts and videos, and the importance of baptism. The time frame for the ministry plan will begin with a two week plan for preaching the messages, nine weeks for recruiting ad equipping volunteers with an interest in Chinese student ministry, and one week for evaluation.
