The study was conducted with ten Christian ten leaders and three observers in a seven week Bible study focusing on the process of spiritual transformation.  The study was measured by a pre-study questionnaire, a post-study questionnaire, and an evaluation.  The results of the study indicated significant change in spiritual gifting. The research question addressed in this paper is: To what extent will the reincorporation of traditional Brethren in Christ discipleship practices into the life of the contemporary church produce an increase in spiritual passion? As measured by the Natural Church Development survey, results were not encouraging. Biblical foundations for this work exist in stories about Moses and the letter to the Philippians.  There are also historical precedents.  Various studies have found that such groups can help individuals manage stress.  Forty ministry personnel were invited to participate in this study as part of facilitated, non-facilitated or control groups.  Stress and coping were measured using Human Synergistic's Stress Processing Report. The most often expressed sources of disappointment for both groups were higher expectations of laity, 'politics,' and administrative demands. The volunteers for this study were Anglican clergy from the Diocese of Huron.  The project has grown out of the traditional Anglican demand that the clergy participate in a discipline of daily offices, the sense that these offices no longer meet the needs of the clergy, the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator and various forms of Lectio Divina.  From this I developed specific daily offices for each personality type.  The volunteers filled out a pre-test survey.  Then they followed the daily office for their personality type for one month and finally filled out a post test survey. 94.4% of the clergy surveyed said that the traditional daily offices did not meet their needs for spiritual development and nurture.  There was no significant difference by personality type. One was a six-week interactive course; the other was an intensive one-day workshop.  Though there were some differences, both proved effective.  Seventeen volunteers participated and final assessments indicated increased levels of awareness and understanding.  Leadership ideas are suggested throughout, as well as an easily understood list of spiritual gifts, plus extensive bibliography. A significant number of the participants felt wanted and needed in the Church.
