A spiritual-ministries view identifying charismata as ministry roles was developed. The researcher concluded that spiritual gifts are roles Christians are called to fill; natural talents (identified through StrengthsFinder personality assessment) are critical factors in filling those roles. Spiritual strengths occur as natural talents are applied to spiritual gifts. In May 2010, the congregation took the Gallup ME25 survey. Case studies were conducted on churches that had made similar efforts. A resurvey in November 2011 occurred following efforts to focus on people's strengths. Meaningful increases were found on multiple items with many increased responses. Overall engagement of the congregation increased, while not-engaged and actively disengaged percentages decreased.
