Establishing entry goals is more important than one's preconceived ministry goals. Planning specific ways to get to know the people, their history, their community, and their particular vision of the congregation's mission within the community needs to precede articulating one's own vision for mission or the generic application of a mission imported from elsewhere. Trading on the insights of narrative theology, and examining specifically the program of hermeneutical pastoral care as developed by Charles V. Although the efficacy of the pastoral care interventions is perhaps best judged in the context of each couple's relationship, data from pre-counseling and evaluation questionnaires was analyzed. Four parent education sessions are developed with five practical home Bible study lessons for experiment. The pastoral role models applied are the caring shepherd, guide shepherd, mediator, and vision giver. The teaching methods used are Groome's shared praxis approach and Westerhoff's enculturation. The results came out as very positive, and it is meaningful when we think most Koreans are traditionally known as passive and reluctant to get involved in group activity in an educational environment."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Candler School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["1e360310-aec8-4e88-a19a-00b4db71ef4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134994830196736,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:44:01.786Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T03:21:16Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:43:34Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"810b9788-faa7-4068-9af8-f1961d0f3676","accessControl_ssim":["674ac014-b483-4178-a670-73f032a4ccd0"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Illuminating experiences of healing through participating in the mysticism of Saint Ignatius Loyola's spiritual exercises"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T03:21:15Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:56:26Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["59da451b-6ee9-44e5-9c1c-4ac39f4c6eac"],"hasLease_ssim":["ef5047b3-a034-416e-9fae-f63b9cd73d97"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["James W Fowler"],"year_tesim":["1994"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John Horn"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Ignatius, of Loyola, Saint, 1491-1556","Spiritual healing"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This retrospective pilot project illuminates the interpersonal dynamic of Ignatian Trinitarian mystical prayer.
