However, there has been little attempt by congregations to help people explore these dimensions of recovery within the context of the church community itself.  With such help, some recovering people might find an additional center of support and guidance for whole-life renewal. Eventually, by recognizing salvation even in other religions, in Christian theology salvation without Jesus became possible.  In contrast, the Korean church keeps the Jesus-only faith, prays always, believes the Bible to be the Word of God and experiences the filling of the Holy Spirit.  It is certain that the Korean church will be a faithful missionary church obeying the Great Commission. The systems approach provided a significant shift in perception about the congregation, which enabled the pastor to bring positive action to a very difficult situation. The historical roots of prayer through African traditional religions and the Bible were examined.  The theological and functional disciplines of prayer were integrated through a field study of non-academic devotional literature.  A review of denominational hymnals of National Baptist, African Methodist Episcopal and Church of God in Christ was included.  Finally, prayers from literature and the arts, mass meetings, music, and devotions/worship experiences were cited. However, a careful reading of such books reveals that in a significant instance, most people are not OK. The significant instance involves the feelings persons identify as guilt, and the cause is frequently traced to a lack of understanding of the nature of guilt.  The crucial question addressed in this project is how a model can be established that will enable persons to own their guilt and be led by such feelings to release by experiencing God's grace.  A discussion follows on the genesis of guilt, the ways in which guilt manifests itself, and guilt from theological and psychological perspectives.  The model then examines the genesis of grace, how guilt and grace are held in tension in preaching that is true to the gospel, and how grace is encountered in guilt to heal and restore.
