However, a careful reading of such books reveals that in a significant instance, most people are not OK. The significant instance involves the feelings persons identify as guilt, and the cause is frequently traced to a lack of understanding of the nature of guilt. The crucial question addressed in this project is how a model can be established that will enable persons to own their guilt and be led by such feelings to release by experiencing God's grace. A discussion follows on the genesis of guilt, the ways in which guilt manifests itself, and guilt from theological and psychological perspectives. The model then examines the genesis of grace, how guilt and grace are held in tension in preaching that is true to the gospel, and how grace is encountered in guilt to heal and restore. Finally, the model proposes that grace makes possible significant, meaningful living beyond guilt."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132216051367936,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:59:51.736Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:04:39Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:58:27Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c2d93f6a-9a67-49d4-848b-6136a425795d","accessControl_ssim":["00b94cb0-14ef-4990-836f-c0fb6e411fa2"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Multicultural theological education at the Kazakhstan Evangelical Christian Seminary"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:04:38Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:43:49Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4a2fcc31-1b6c-49c0-817c-a08ab7ff5d48"],"hasLease_ssim":["e27ba583-05cd-45b4-b3e8-9be2bcfa7794"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Stephen S Kim","Elizabeth Conde-Frazier"],"year_tesim":["2002"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Choon T Kong"],"publisher_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Cultural pluralism","Kazakhstan Evangelical Christian Seminary","Religious education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Multiethnicity in a given community is the blessing whereby all the members in the community can be enriched. The project demonstrates a 3-step process for training teachers to deal with three Bible passages: 1)interpret the text by analyzing literary characteristics and its literary and historical contexts; 2) explore the goal of Christian education and the learners' life experience, establishing a process for applying the biblical message accordingly; 3) teaching the Bible lesson by examining theories of learning, principles and methods of teaching, and designing a teaching/learning process compatible with literary genres and goals of Christian education. This project designed sample lesson plans relevant to the experience of Chinese Americans for three genres: Narrative, Wisdom, and Prophetic. The project explored this thesis by initiating a congregational study focusing on one parish. The research included observations, on-site visits and interviews. A literature review on Celtic spirituality, feminist theology and organizational leadership was completed. Integrative analysis was done and foundational values and components for future leadership models were proposed. Transformational leadership, spiritual renewal, and communication of vision are essential to success in implementing new models of parish leadership. A congregational study was initiated, focusing on one parish as a revealing text. The research included on-site visits and interviews. The wisdom gleaned from the congregational study was then women with a review of literature on Celtic spirituality, feminist theology and organizational leadership. An integrative analysis of the combined research was done; foundational values and components for future leadership models were proposed. The research surfaced many important findings and conclusions. Among these are: 1) they key to leadership is relationship and not skill development, structure or power; 2) in opposition to dualistic, hierarchical world-views, feminist theology and Celtic spirituality stress interconnectedness and inclusivity which are fundamental to the development of future leadership models; 3) both hierarchical and charismatic elements of the Catholic Church must be honored and balanced; 4) intentional processes are needed to enable the transition from hierarchical models of leadership to more inclusive ones, especially processes for and integrating feminist and Celtic values and; 5) the church needs to give priority to including the wealthy, poor, old and young, as well as persons of many cultures and both genders, in the community's circles of relationship and involvement. The study concludes that several steps and strategies are essential to successfully implementing new models and paradigms of leadership. In particular, transformational leadership, spiritual renewal, and processes to communicate the vision across parishes, deaneries and Archdiocesan entities, are essential for gaining commitment from the faith."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131971335749632,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:55:58.357Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:56:36Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:00:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fc9ec7d5-5e81-455f-997c-e6b96863cc7f","accessControl_ssim":["484b8ed5-eeaa-4d65-be54-a29d0220ef43"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Disciple-making through small groups in the local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:56:35Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:21:11Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["565801ef-36af-41bf-a335-e18d37c91316"],"hasLease_ssim":["22d48e21-4212-4699-b8de-3ce95f94a421"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Frank Rogers"],"year_tesim":["2000"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Walter C Dilg"],"publisher_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Faith development","Christian life"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["With Wesley's understanding of spirituality and discipleship as a foundation, this study explores the assertion that small groups which employ a more holistic understanding of spirituality will facilitate in their participants greater spiritual growth toward faithful discipleship than other groups. Final conclusions articulated in the last chapter are: (1) multi-dimensional prayer enhances church members in the areas of prayer, leadership, empowerment and morale; (2) the pastor's presence is essential for the effective implementation of multi-dimensional prayer; (3) fast-growing, multi-service churches tend to be Pentecostal and employ multi-dimensional prayer; and (4) Pentecostal/charismatic pastors tend to pray more and thereby experience greater church growth."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132275415449600,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:00:48.350Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:35:17Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:55:26Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6c9952c9-108d-4833-9e1f-d3ebf72faaf7","accessControl_ssim":["cf0f9975-6be4-4df1-acce-c8cbbda03b5b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Spiritual and psychological healing of persons living with AIDS through education in the Korean Christian context"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:35:16Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:18:32Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["0df28b21-61d6-4e94-85ef-b7f08bccdbcc"],"hasLease_ssim":["27fff872-7708-4b9c-8333-b6e55ce77f62"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Frank Rogers"],"year_tesim":["1999"],"location_tesim":["Korea"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Sam Yeol Park"],"publisher_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Church","Church history","Social change","AIDS (Disease)"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project explores the social and psychological reality of AIDS within Korea, analyses the sources of ostracization in Korean religious and cultural attitudes, develops a biblically-based theology and compassionate care for persons with AIDS, and offers suggestions for churches to minister through education, worship and pastoral care."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131942745276416,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:55:31.090Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T19:27:00Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:57:08Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"96115ba5-4832-4661-a180-87b392dba15d","accessControl_ssim":["7066bb6b-950b-4110-a875-0fcb88284ff8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Toward more desirable family relationships for pastoral care and ministry in the church: case studies for intermarried families (Korean wives - These intermarried cases show problems and characteristics of the four major relationships in the family. In order to understand the issue posed by these four family relationships, important concepts of the theory and therapy of Murray Brown are explored.
