An unscientific survey was used to discover the general knowledge of the importance of theology, the legitimacy of creeds and confessions, and the Westminster Confession itself. Constructive criticisms were given as to style, choice of words, and theological content. It gives special attention to principles behind the early growth and later decline and demise of the BPC.  The subject matter of the project is drawn chiefly from primary sources, including the author's personal experiences in the BPC and personal correspondence found in the Covenant Theological Seminary archives, particularly in the Buswell file.
