To test this hypothesis, the author accepted the job of 'Missions and Evangelism Pastor' of a 1000 member church with the goal of establishing a daughter church in a years time.  Cultural barriers were largely neutralized and an indigenous church was established in just over a year. The research method employed was a qualitative examination that primarily utilized the focus group method.  The author identified four summary lessons from the research.  There is a considerable need among Southern Baptist churches in Illinois for clergy evaluation processes.  There are successful feedback models that look very different.  A lay-involved process is stronger because it engages the opinions of laity and encourages teamwork. Revival is defines as the reanimating of much of the church by the extraordinary work of God,  The view of revival is distinguished from two other views of revival.
