The purpose of this project was to enhance the basic knowledge of the Bible and facilitate the spiritual growth of new believers through implementing a narrative Bible Study program at Calvary Korean Baptist Church in Los Gatos, California.  The ten-session course, designed and led by the project director, helped the participants gain an understanding of the main biblical principles. The goal of the project was to equip lay leaders with practical resources to enable them to serve as Bible study leaders.  The project participants were trained in the use of various Bible study materials to use with small groups.  Prayer walks were a vital part of the strategy project participants used in preparing the neighborhood to be receptive to a Bible study.  The results differed from what was expected; only three small groups were started. The primary strategy for accomplishing the project's purpose was to develop a structure for equipping leaders to conduct and expand small home Bible study groups at Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Once the new groups were launched, the author supervised or coached the group leaders and co-leaders as they led three home Bible study groups.  This strategy has provided the structure by which these Bible studies will have a multiplying effect throughout the congregation as new groups are formed. Thirteen laypersons were trained during seven sessions in the principles of leadership, small group discipleship, group building, and the inductive Bible study method.  These principles were applied to the existing adult Bible study program.  Evaluation procedures revealed a positive move from a basic lecture style of teaching to a relational style of teaching. It concerns the development of a workshop and teaching manual on the biblical instructions which are given to parents.  The workshop is designed for Christian parents, and is constructed in such a way that it can best be used in church settings such as study groups, church training, weekend workshops, and retreats.  The major method of study and research was a personal in-depth study of scripture.  The results of the project were twofold.  First, it was established that a need exists for such a workshop within the ministry framework of the local church. The method of this project is enlisting, training, and sending out a select group of fraternity and sorority students to initiate small group Bible studies within those students' specific Greek organizations.
