After a model of 'servant leader supervision' was constructed, pastors were invited to a two-phase workshop.     The first phase introduced the model, the skills necessary to implementing it, and culminated in the pastors writing their own supervision plans.  The workshop's second phase (a month later) focused on their implementation efforts. The church is located in a rapidly changing community and must have a plan in order to reach and minister to that community.  The church, led by the pastor, elected a long-range planning committee, and through surveys and census information the committee identified the church's strengths and weakness and established a target group.  The committee then used this information and developed a plan that addressed some of the identified needs of the target group. The goals and objectives were designed to be reached within three to five years.  The goals included the establishment of reachable ministry goals, improvement of the Bible teaching program, greater involvement in outreach, and greater love for fellow members.  The congregation was given opportunity, through open forums, to give valuable insight to the planning. The results were approved by the congregation's acceptance of the Guidebook, a new Glorieta plan to improve teacher training and the relocation of the church by 1992.
