The variables measured were: recall, communication, attention, stimulation of thought and emotion, persuasion, and enjoyment.  Groups of students saw either a multimedia presentation or a slide presentation and were compared to a control group, which saw no visual elements.  The multimedia group outperformed the control group, while the slide group performed oppositely. The enhancement of computer-based software and improvements in microcomputers and operating systems is enabling the design and development of a wide range of multimedia education compact disc (CD) products.  I will use this technology to create an interactive tool that supplements classroom lessons and the individual reading of the textbook Biblical Preaching. Because students have different perceptual strengths, information on the CD-ROM will be presented in a variety of formats.  The exercises will incorporate the use of audio and video, as well as written text to accommodate the different ways that people process information. My philosophy in regards to the interactive CD-ROM is that learners should be able to approach learning in a way that takes account of their own learning needs and learning style. The result of the project is a one-day workshop for preachers.  Various subjects were covered.  What does the Bible say about using multimedia in preaching?  How do different generations learn? How can multimedia be used to communicate with different generations?
