By examining three Puritan figures, it seeks to demonstrate how the Puritans dedicated work and its rewards to God's glory and the common good. Current research is used to study trends in giving and stewardship strategies among evangelical Christians. The conclusion ties together relevant application ideas and comments on ways Christians today can recapture the Puritan vision in their own financial decisions."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129898078699521,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:23:01.145Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:10:10Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:45:31Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"73ba3d96-c6da-4081-909f-8152ab0656ba","accessControl_ssim":["d724d412-4edc-48fc-a664-5b7eed7d1d13"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A family of families: the seventeenth century Puritan vision for family, church and society"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:10:09Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:31:22Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["8f738cfc-1bd6-4dcb-97f0-cd86c77596c2"],"hasLease_ssim":["cba25861-2c6d-42b2-b2fd-9ed5ed03a1d8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Garth M Rosell","Stephen A Macchia"],"year_tesim":["2007"],"location_tesim":["New England"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Stephen L Clark"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with families","Puritans","Family life education--Religious aspects--Christianity","Christian sociology--Reformed Church","Church and the world"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["A key to church re-formation, vitality and growth is found in recovering the Puritan vision of family, church and society which was an integral part of this nation's spiritual heritage.
