This project was based on the premise that theology is critically important in dealing with life's problems and in dealing with the universality of death. The project consisted of twenty-eight sermons preached over six months. The author's hope was that by hearing these sermons, his parishioners would have a deeper appreciation of the Nicene Creed. Informing the lens of faith are adoption/foster care history and culture, theological reflection, statistical data, stories of people of faith, and a model worship service and networking event. The planning, implementation, and review processes are documented in publicity materials, ethics board reviews, a service bulletin, letters, diagrams, music, bi-lingual blessings, the sermon, a budget, and a resource list of books, articles, and suggested websites. The conclusion suggests alternative ways to increase permanency for children."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Hartford Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["8e52e4c8-38b6-4846-872d-a744b4f5725d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720186547273728,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:01:58.627Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:36:29Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:22:52Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"418f0076-23ee-4553-b3f1-c882dbb26718","accessControl_ssim":["bf5ed20d-e047-4d24-82f9-f22203ab74b5"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Risks for religiously infused violence in Muslim Youth and Successful antidotes through correct islamic teaching"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:36:28Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:01:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["e78c69e7-d67c-40a1-b02b-233ba6ffe17f"],"hasLease_ssim":["46a55eb9-976c-4305-923a-bf4a8bd542e8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Steven Blackburn"],"year_tesim":["2014"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Sahmuddeen S Harun"],"publisher_tesim":["Hartford Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Violence--Religious aspects","Pastoral theology (Islam)","Muslim youth"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This paper addressed the issue of Muslim-American youth prone to extremism and violence.
