The author employs the principle of dialogue in communication to substantiate this conclusion.  He supplements the use of this principle with a theology of revelation and with the word of God.  Paramount to this principle of dialogue is self-disclosure, which is made possible through the mutual sharing of meanings from the life experiences of both the proclaimer and the hearer.
