This project, entitled 'Life Under New Management,' sought to communicate a broad understanding of stewardship as our life management under God.  The project included four Bible studies, four worship services and one seminar.  The author attempted to use creative analogies from contemporary life to encourage a major rethinking of what being a Christian is all about. The project involved a series of four corporate worship sessions, and a personal devotional book written by the author of the project. Participants in the project completed a series of questionnaires to measure the project's effect. Laotians who convert to Christianity are considered to be traitors to their family, their country, and their king.  To be a good Laotian, one must be a faithful Buddhist throughout life.  The author, who is Laotian, has developed a method of presenting the gospel, which contextualizes Laotians' understanding of God. Family ties are the most important factor in Lao culture and custom. Therefore, the author used the concept of God as the Creator and Father of mankind, which led 32 out of 50 people to the Lord. After enlistment, leaders and members participated in pre-tests and post-tests to determine learning levels. The seminar was led by the author and was intended to lead each participant to be able to identify their leadership style.  Motivational principles were studied and each participant identified how their leadership style affected the motivational level of their followers.  Research was conducted on leadership styles that were Christian in basic orientation.  While a plethora of secular leadership styles were studied, the concern was for Christian leaders. Motivational principles were based upon Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how Christian leaders can evaluate the needs of followers. The study revealed that a 'democratic' or 'body leader' leadership style was most effective in aiding the motivational level of followers. The method of research was to train a group of volunteers in skills for confronting inactive members and evaluate the effectiveness of the training with a pre-test and post-test.  The contacts were evaluated by sending a survey to those contacted.  The project resulted in 24 percent of the members returning to church at least once. Each banner constructed was based upon a biblical theme.  Ideas for the banners originated from a hospital advisory committee along with chapel participants.  The method of study consisted of two questionnaires used to gain feedback and opinions from the chapel participants.  Chapel services were divided into a pre-visual aid series and a visual aid series. The author used didactic sessions, videos, discussion, and personal encounters to provide participants both cognitive and emotive learning experiences.  Participants were measured, before and after the project, regarding knowledge of alcohol addiction and repositioning of attitudes toward persons addicted to alcohol. The instruments used were the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Spiritual Gifts Inventory, Biblical Personal Profile, and the Spiritual Leadership Qualities Inventory.  Individualized plans for growth were developed based upon findings of the instruments.  The author found great benefit to be found in the communication that took place from the use of the instruments. It involved the enlistment of and ministry to persons who were struggling with distresses brought on by being forcefully terminated from their places of employment.  This was a specifically designed support group ministry.
