The problems of cultural collision, however, were not anticipated.  The impact of this collision produced broken relations within the fellowship of the church. This study sought to discover the extent of the undesirable situation and to propose viable solutions to counteract this brokenness in the fellowship of the church. This project was done as a ministry of reconciliation.  Its purpose was to get churches in the lake area to appropriate as their own a new chaplaincy program to campers on the lake.  The author experienced the chaplaincy program as a supervisor to the chaplain in the summer of 1982.
