The instrument used in this research was the Family Environment Scale (FES) which measures family environment in three major dimensions: Relationship, Personal Growth, and System Maintenance. Dimensions are divided into the following ten subscales: Cohesion; Expressiveness; Conflict; Independence; Achievement Orientation; Intellectual-Cultural Orientation; Active Recreational Orientation; Moral-Religious Emphasis; Organization; and Control.
