The paper uses the Wesleyan quadrilateral and an analysis of the local church setting as a basis for establishing role priorities.  The paper includes ten attributes which the writer considers essential for effective ministry.  Senior ministers should take into account their strengths and weaknesses regarding these attributes in order to establish priorities in a realistic and practical manner. The study concludes that the Mbarara Diocese's Eucharistic Centers' program does not accord with the ecclesiology of the small-community movement.  It contributes to the basic ecclesial community goals of the diocese by clarifying the theological and pastoral nature of the small-community movement as applied to Mbarara.  It suggests key issues which need to be dealt with in formulating a viable small-community program for the diocese, notably those related to the need for in-depth reflection about how current parish structures and leadership models should be modified to accommodate a BEC program. Participants were given an opportunity to visit patient wards and to reflect upon their experience through the peer group process.  Participants were to read three books during the three months. The author anticipated that the focus of spiritual direction on developing a personal relationship with God would effect a new sense of personal freedom and an ability to consider options and make decisions to change one's lifestyle and the course of one's future. This project was done as a ministry of reconciliation.  Its purpose was to get churches in the lake area to appropriate as their own a new chaplaincy program to campers on the lake.  The author experienced the chaplaincy program as a supervisor to the chaplain in the summer of 1982. This thesis/project is a descriptive study of the premarital counseling practices of a sample of 20 pastors in the Presbytery of Genesee Valley, New York, who were interviewed to ascertain their practices concerning inclusion of discussion of five areas of marital satisfaction which appear to be important for the content of premarital counseling: background information, communications, money, religion, and sexuality.  There is a wide divergence in the premarital counseling practices of pastors.  Some do an excellent job, but the majority of the sample appear to be struggling or frustrated in their practice of premarital counseling.
