Interchurch has been narrowly defined for the purposes of this study as a couple where one partner is Roman Catholic and the other practices another Christian tradition. Utilizing the Narrative Inquiry research method, the author explores the stories shared by interchurch facilitators of marriage preparation programs and interchurch engaged couples in an effort to develop a relevant marriage preparation session for interchurch couples. The situation of the diocese of Bismark is similar to most rural dioceses in the United States. Integrating gender studies, rural sociology, rural catechetical ministry and contemporary leadership theory, this thesis-project maintains that leadership development uniquely focused for women in rural catechetical ministry will increase their sense of self as leader and leadership practices. The study gives voice to rural women involved in catechetical ministry as they expressed themselves in various sessions. The author examines the Diocese of Taita Taveta - geography, history and culture as well as the history of the Anglican Church and East African Revival. It presents church statistics from 1991-2000 and surveys three distinct groups of Anglicans: a- Anglicans (Waangilikana Damu), Irregular Anglicans (Waangilikana Jina) and Anglicans 'in diaspora'. Analysis indicates important pastoral factors to be addressed if growth is to be accelerated. Project presents theological reflection and pastoral response to the data. The study considers theological issues concerning Jewish identity in the Church and their place in the economy of salvation. The author used three questionnaires to research the diocese of Sioux City presbyterate's spiritual and ministerial lives and to identify factors which contribute to priests' satisfaction. The responses of Jesus-Caritas priests, priests who belong to other support groups, and priests who belong to no support group were analyzed. This research was distributed to the presbyterate, and the author mentored a group of priests in the formation of a new Jesus-Caritas Priests' Fraternity. Iconography was the spiritual discipline used for this exploration. The author, an ordained Protestant woman, used three icons of the Virgin Mary to help discover whether Mary could be a gateway to the feminine aspect of God. By using iconography, journaling and scriptural reflection facets of a 'softer' God did appear.
