Needs become apparent and resistant attitudes change. Volunteers become so involved in rewards of one-on-one ministry that they put aside racial issues. Surveys of the congregations reveal that personal friendship is the best way to communicate and that printed materials--tracts and books--are the most useful evangelistic media. These Bangkok churches overcome hindrances in communicating difficult concepts by illustrating them with personal testimonies. These churches teach members to evangelize by training them one-on-one in telephone and house visitations. As it reveals strategic ways to equip transgenerational and second-generation Korean Americans in local churches, the project aims to further understanding of second-generation Korean Americans and to suggest new models of English-speaking ministry for first-generation Korean pastors as they help young adult church members mature.
